Purpose

The Accounting Intern will work on wide range of important projects related to Accounting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role that Accounting can play in an organization setting, and be better prepared to work in the arena of Accounting.

Essential Job Functions

·  Assist in day-to-day Accounts Payable duties
·  Assist in day-to-day Accounts Receivable duties
·  General office administration tasks
·  Data entry and filing
·  Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
·  Provide clerical support for other teams within the division
·  Other tasks/duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Requirements

·  Must be actively enrolled at an accredited 4-year University or 2-year College
·  Must have interest and aptitude to work in Accounting, Finance or administrative fields
·  Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
·  A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
·  Excellent written communication skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel and Power Point  Desired Skills
·  Past project work experience
·  Experience in conducting research and analysis through course work or work experience
·  Ability to prepare deliverables Essential Physical Abilities
·  N/A Education/Experience
·  Enrolled active student at an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university Working Environment
·  Office Environment
