EMERGENCY has been providing free, high-quality care to the victims of war, poverty, and landmines for over 23 years. In that time, we have treated over 8 million patients, built and operated hospitals in 16 countries, and have trained hundreds of medical and non-medical staff.
Who are we looking for and what will you do?
We are looking for a translation and editorial intern.
Reporting to the Communications Officer, your role will mostly involve translating and proofreading documents, press releases and short pieces for social media from Italian into English.
This role will provide valuable experience in many aspects of translation & editorial work.
You’ll play a key role in our close-knit team, and work with us to spread the message about EMERGENCY’s work across the UK.
Flexibility and an ability to multitask are essential.
The internship is unpaid but lunch and reasonable travel expenses will be refunded. Ideally, we would like you to volunteer with us for at least 2 days a week, but we can be flexible with this for the right candidate.
The internship lasts for 3 months, starting in September 2017.
We cannot sponsor visas, so only applicants who have eligibility to work in the UK will be considered for the above post.
