POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Inventory/Demand Planner is critical role within the International Major Appliances Team to support optimal levels of finished goods (FG) inventory across the supply chain.  Responsibilities of this role include managing FG inventory levels and forecasts to support the business objectives and passing the POs to the NA factories in a timely manner.  Ensuring customer satisfaction and adequate inventory levels are the main priorities for this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Responsible for weekly extract of changes to the sales forecast from the Middle East and Africa sales teams and update FG ordering according to the forecast
·  Participate in the monthly consensus forecast alignment process while acting as an internal advocate for the Sales channel(s) you represent.
·  Manage FG inventory receipts from 3PL
·  Place all purchase orders to factories/suppliers and ensure accurate PO pricing as well as order dating and communicate the updates to Dubai office(Demand Planners)
·  Monitor and communicate Slow Moving Inventory levels and work cross-functionally to drive improvements. Maintain damage and returns receipts and claims.
·  Develop and manage a forward looking (24 months) aggregated demand plan at SKU level for specific Sales channel(s)
·  Prepare monthly freight/ stock days reports
·  Keep the right level & mix of stock in the warehouse
·  Assist the Sales team with customer inquiries on a daily basis
·  Other duties as assigned by management

Desired profile

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·  Associates degree with emphasis in business administration, supply chain, demand planning or related industry experience
·  A minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, materials or related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

·  Ability to multi task and perform under pressure
·  AS400 experience would be asset
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Proactive &positive approach
·  Possess a readiness and ability to take ownership of assigned duties
·  Ability to create and edit documents in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
·  Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals. Desire to work with, and respect for, customers and agents from around the world from diverse races, religions, and cultures
·  Understanding of how inventory/demand planning impacts other functions of the business
·  Capability to work independently in a global organization and be extremely organized and detail oriented
