Summary:

Reporting to the IT Manager, the incumbent is responsible for development, initiation, execution, management, and tracking of IT and automation projects. Projects to implement the Anti-Intrusion Cameras system will be the priority. This system detects any person who may inadvertently or deliberately enter the baggage room through the conveyors at the check-in counters. The sites involved at time of this posting are located in North America and Europe.

Responsabilities:

• Program, implement, and test digital 2D and 3D vision algorithms.
• Design, interface, and calibrate vision systems with cameras while ensuring their continuing improvement.
• Analyse, design, and implement software architecture for vision systems.
• Conduct tests to characterize the performance of vision systems compared with requirements.
• Design user interfaces.
• Ensure project monitoring:
o Draft documentation and technical reports;
o Develop and initiate projects for the IT group;
o Develop and execute the various test protocols required to validate compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in development and integration of new operational technologies.
• Participate in establishing quality standards as well as tracking and implementation procedures.
• Ensure viability, efficiency, and support for assigned projects.
• Perform any other related task required by the duties of the position or requested by the immediate superior.

Requirements:
• At least two or three years of experience in a field that fostered development of a thorough knowledge of the programming tools listed below
• Experience in project management
• University degree in computer science, or any recognized equivalency in this field
• Able to pass a Transports Canada security clearance
• Mastery of C++
• Mastery of SQL language
• Mastery of computer-based vision
• Knowledge of automated systems an asset
• Knowledge of ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, C#, Javascript, and JAVA an asset
• Mastery of Microsoft operating systems (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)
• Sound knowledge of networking as well as computer security
• Available for occasional travel to other sites
• Experience in airport environments (an asset)
• Bilingualism: spoken and written English and French.
