Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Biased) to be based in IPO, Concept House, Cardiff Road, Newport, NP10 8QQ.

This is a permanent full time role (working 40 hours per week) and on offer will be a salary of up to £27,500 per annum. This role will report into the Engineering Supervisor.

To be successful in this role you must provide the following:

·  Minimum of 3 year history of employment (including information which can be verified for any gaps)
·  If you do not have 3 years previous employment, a professional reference must be provided (obtained from a Medical Practitioner, Officer of the Armed Forces, Teacher, Lecturer, Lawyer, Bank Manager, Civil Servant etc)
·  Proof of identity & eligibility to work in the UK which must include :
·  Photographic I.D - Passport or Driving Licence.
·  Passport and all relevant work permits
·  or NI Number information / proof and full Birth certificate
·  If no legal photographic documentation is owned then a passport photo which has been signed and verified by any of the above professionals will be required. This needs to show their title, signature and contact details.
·  2 proofs of address from within the last 3 months (i.e. council tax bill, bank statement, utilities bills).
·  Any required qualifications or driving licence if required for the role.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

·  This role will be based on the Intellectual Property Office in Newport. This will involve maintaining multiple systems across the estate to ensure site conditions are of the highest possible standards.
·  All tools and uniform required for the role will also be provided by ENGIE.
·  The role will be based on 8 hours per day Monday till Friday, varying between 07:00-17:00, there will also be the requirement to work a reasonable amount of overtime.
·  Ensure contractual services are delivered in such a way that it is possible to achieve agreed PPM, Reactive SLA's and quality targets.
·  Reporting directly to the Engineering supervisor on a daily basis.
·  Undertake any electrical/mechanical works as directed
·  Carry out any reasonable request as instructed by his line manger
·  Being able to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
·  Undertake AP, CP, RP assessments & carryout tasks as per appointment.
·  Will require good customer service and communication skill.
·  Previous experience of supervising engineers and contractors.
·  Ambition to develop and take on increased responsibility in future.
·  The main focus of the PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) work will primarily focus on but not limited to the following types of works:
·  Emergency lighting tests, Tap temperatures, distribution board inspection, air handling units, subcontractor management, moving of materials / deliveries as required.
·  Undertake water checks / corrective actions to ensure the full operation of the water systems.
·  There will be a variety of reactive jobs which will stem out of the above but again not be limited to the above.
·  Standby cover for site as part of ongoing rota (a minimum of 14 days per month)
·  Physical fault finding as required.

·  17th Edition Wiring regs. Level 1,2,3
·  Experienced fault finding skills in mains – power distribution circuits, control boards, lighting circuits faults
·  Experience in mains LV switchgear and transformers
·  IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable)
·  Experience working on various mechanical systems (LTHW/CHWS/BCWS).
·  Although not crucial a basic understanding of the L8 ACOP would also be beneficial.
·  A robust understanding of Health and Safety and qualifications are required.
·  Knowledge of the Permit to Work system & experience issuing PTW would also be beneficial.

For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
