YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT

We are in an exciting period of new opportunities in Europe. We are strengthening our international team and have recently won the contract to build the new section of the E18-E39 motorway in Kristiansand, Norway.

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of more than €234 million1 (NOK 2,755 million2).

The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.

This new contract won by Eiffage Génie Civil strengthens the Group's position in Norway, where it is currently carrying out design-build work on lots 1, 2 and 3 of the E18 motorway (section between Langangen and Rugtvedt) on behalf of Nye Veier, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport.

YOUR MAIN TASKS

You will be responsible to ensure traffic safety during the works and operation of the roads

Your responsibilities and duties:

· 
Ensure consistency of the overall phasing plan and traffic scheme throughout the project: vehicle, cycle and pedestrian traffic must be maintained at every stage

· 
Follow-up the traffic plans in the area in cooperation with road authorities, according to the contract

· 
Coordinate permanent road design, signage and equipment with road designers

· 
Manage the approval processes with authorities and stakeholders for permanent road design

· 
Organize design and approval of temporary road diversions, with the dedicated subcontractor and road designers

· 
Ensure design approval and traffic plans are on time to enforce the program of works

· 
Follow-up of the subcontractor in charge of traffic safety on site: road diversions, temporary signage, etc.

· 
Monitor traffic and enforce mitigation measures in case of need

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· 
Well experienced in equivalent areas of work

· 
Ideally with an experience in phasing and traffic management

· 
Project language is English. Norwegian will be an advantage.
