ebizmarts is a startup company that have recently opened up a UK office to assist with their global expansion strategy. ebizmarts have developed an iPad based ‘Point of Sale’ App that seamlessly replicates an online website, allowing a retailer to take their ecommerce store into the physical environment creating a true omni-channel experience.

This is a rare & unique opportunity to join and grow with a startup company at the beginning of its global sales expansion journey. We are currently in discussion with a number of well known high street brands and a position of Pre-Sales Technical Intern has been created to support the retailer sign up and implementation phases of our Point of Sale solution.

Full on the job training will be provided. This role will be varied however the fundamentals will be:

· Initial familiarisation of Point of Sale product
· Design, develop and build upon existing country specific user guides
· Provide both internal and external training
· Test, isolate and feedback bug issues
· Help develop/test/sign off new features/functionality
· Liaise with development teams
· Work with 3rd party providers
· Assist technically on the sales process
· Build technical presentation material to complement sales process
· Assist technically on implementation process
· Interpretation and delivery management of new requirements/developments
· Deliver Proof of Concepts (POCs) to potential sales leads
· Provide 1st line technical support for software evaluations and pilot projects
· Build technical relationships with prospects and existing clients
· Creation of technical implementation plan and subsequent customer services hand over documentation

Desired profile

Computer Science/Business degree background or similar
Affinity to both sales and technology
Ability to grasp various system integration capabilities
Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise workload
Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
Knowledge of PHP (not essential)
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
Excellent organisation skills
Self starter
Confidence in front of external clients
Flexible and enthusiastic approach
General interest in retail commerce (ecommerce and in store Point of Sale systems) and payment systems
Magento ecommerce platform experience (not essential)
Fluency in any other language would be an advantage
