We are passionate about building the best search platform for the world's largest online marketplace and are looking for top-notch software engineers to join the eBay Search Backend team. Our focus in search backend is to build a world class product where we have to manage cost, scale and availability and also solve customer problems with new features like location aware search and image search.

Define and implement complex software applications using C++ and/or Java

Collaborate with engineers, QA, product management and operations teams to develop strategic and tactical solutions

Estimate engineering effort, plan implementations, and rollout for complex search applications with implications to cross-functional teams

Must be able to code and test major features
