Kijiji’s technology team is charged with developing, testing, and operating one of the largest e-commerce sites in the country. All our Front End Web Developers work in teams of talented Software Engineers focused on building large-scale web applications in an agile, cross-functional environment.

Our team is comprised of people who are flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, iterative environment. As a member of this team you will work in an open-plan agile development environment, and  engage in test-driven development and continuous peer review of our code. We are self-motivated, passionate for technology and continual improvement, and team players who work well both independently and in cross-discipline teams.

Responsibilities:

·  Write, test and document high quality HTML, CSS and Javascript
·  Engage in technical decisions around technical design, languages and frameworks
·  Work closely with cross-functional product teams on evolving Kijiji

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Deep knowledge of best-practice HTML, CSS and JavaScript
·  Experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, modern front-end technologies (we’re using React, Redux, node.js, webpack, etc., but knowledge of other systems like Angular or Ember is valuable too)
