Job description

Responsibilities

We’re currently looking for an electrical engineer with a background in street lighting to join us in the role of Commercial Engineer.

Working with both large and small contractors to deliver quotes and estimates, you’ll manage and develop relationships with our existing customers, and any prospects. Because you’ll also be liaising with local authorities and other third parties, your interpersonal skills will be every bit
as important as your technical abilities here – a flair for sales would be a real bonus too.

This is a varied role that will see you contributing to the development of our Highways Lighting Sales Plan, identifying the requirements for process and system developments, and supporting the introduction and delivery of best practice solutions. You’ll ensure all quotes are followed up and you’ll collect competitor and market intelligence to ensure we always retain our competitive edge. In particular, you’ll look for opportunities to build new products and services to meet customer demand. Street lighting is a growing part of our business and, by supporting that growth, you can expect scope to develop and progress your career.
