Linux administration

The role will be involved in support of highly critical production environment and will be engaged in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Linux Servers along with a team of technically competent professionals. Ability to autonomously root causing complex issues within the Linux stack. Design and build new solutions. Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommend modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems

SME skills on RedHat Linux and SUSE with performance analysis and tuning capabilities, working experience on Redhat Satellite / LDAP servers/ Samba / experience on hardware troubleshooting preferred.

Experience with Ansible / salt stack / python / scripting, preferred.

ITIL certification and Incident/change/problem management experience.

Troubleshoots system hardware, software, network and OS issues.

Knowledge of standard system tools with the ability to automation complex system tasks through scripting.

Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.

Experience building robust systems and disaster recovery planning.

Demonstrated problem solving abilities and initiatives.

New OS deployments on VMware and Clould environment. Backup and recovery

Extensive hands-on technical skills to cover installation, configuration, advanced troubleshooting, Packages and patch Administration.

Must have an expertise to troubleshoot the OS networking related issues like TCP dump analysis

Good knowledge on RedHat Satellite 6, installation and managing the licenses for virtual and physical servers.

Knowledge of the bi-directional transfer between multiple networks of different classification levels, transmission protocol types, and partner organizations

Understanding of SAN and NAS storage.

Proven expert with scripting tasks using Bash and Pearl.

Experience with enterprise server platforms- Preferably HP ProLiant (HP Server Devices), IBM, Dell & Sun.

Experience in support of and administration with any of the following: Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, Weblogic and Oracle RAC

Working experience on Virtualization- using VMWare, ESX, Cisco UCS, Managing ESX clusters.

Veritas & Linux clusters

Installation and configuration of HA environment using Linux cluster or Veritas Cluster.

Installation and administration experience in Hyper-visors, VMware vSphere/ESXs, handling cluster Virtual Machines on VMware environment with VMdisk.

Configurating clusters, adding file Systems to clusters, failover the cluster nodes.

Veritas High Availability Configuration and Administration of VxVM.

Configuring storage for VCS failover clusters, Configuring shared storage for CFS clusters

Configuring and troubleshooting CFS active/active cluster nodes.
