Summary
Performs highly complex analysis, reconciliations, and reports in areas of US GAAP pension accounting. Provides guidance to regions on accounting for pension benefit obligations, asset valuations, SEC disclosures, and monthly expenses.
Essential Job Functions
o Monitors/Approves monthly/quarterly/annual pension expenses recorded by the regions.
o Facilitates SOX compliance related to pension accounting. Identifies additional requirements or necessary changes and develops and implements appropriate course of action to remediate SOX deficiencies.
o Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
o Develops and implements process or procedural changes, including training documentation and presentation to other organizations.
o Collaborates with other departments and/or vendors as required.
Basic Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
o Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field preferred
o Five or more years of finance or accounting experience
o Five or more years experience with US Pension Accounting:
· Service Cost/Non-Service Cost
· Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income
· Defined Benefit Plans
· Pension Benefit Obligations
· Asset Valuations
· SEC Disclosures/Filing
o Experience with US GAAP
o CPA preferred
o Audit experience preferred

o Strong communication skills
o Strong ability to work with large data sets in Microsoft Excel
o Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
