Based in Adelaide eastern suburbs, an exciting opportunity now exists in the Adelaide based Network Operations Support Engineer. You will be responsible for the support and administration across a variety of network-based platforms. In addition, you will undertake Incident Management and administration, monitoring and reporting activities, change implementation, project implementations and standby roster. Working as part of a team, providing on-going remote support activities for Client’s in line with Service Level Agreements & Customer Orders.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Respond to break/fix incident, problem, change, SRs within SLAs
·  Manage workload and ensure assignments are completed on time and within target completion dates
·  Keep clients informed at all times as to progress of assigned tasks and setting realistic expectations with regards to completion dates and status updates in a professional, concise and informative manner
·  Demonstrate ownership and interest in goals by identification, escalation and resolution of issues appropriately
·  Works with minimal direction from the technical lead to accomplish assigned tasks
·  Keeping up to date with new & emerging technologies

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following skills & experience:

·  5+ years in a Senior level Network Operations Support Engineer role is essential
·  Routing (HP, Cisco), switching (HP, Cisco), Proxy (Bluecoat/Symantec), firewall (Checkpoint and Juniper), load balancer and application firewall (F5/ASM) and WAN Optimisation (Riverbed)
·  Ability to adapt quickly and learn how to support/troubleshoot various platforms and technologies for both LAN/WAN environments
·  Ability to logically approach a problem from definition through to resolution
·  Ability to define a root cause analysis of an issue and explain resolution to client and other team members
·  Liaise and troubleshoot with 3rd Party vendors Telecommunication carriers, Cloud services and any other client or DXC suppliers
·  Certification in industry recognised technologies, such as routing, switching, firewalls, security etc.
·  Extensive experience in a large (500+ nodes) enterprise or corporate environment
·  Demonstrable skills and experience in the installation, configuration and remote support of network technology
·  Experience working in large complex Enterprise environments
·  Experience in network hardware and software technologies that will allow you to support the client under any break fix situation and/or project work.
·  Solid grounding in ITIL best practice
·  Proven experience in day to day service delivery and project activities
·  Ability to resolve issues & handle conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment
·  Strong communication skills, the ability to interact well in client environment and service excellence
·  A positive attitude, a passion for IT and a mindset that can adapt easily to change
·  Ability to multitask and prioritize current and incoming workload
·  Good problem identification and resolution skills
·  Good change management process and compliance experience
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal presentation

Desirable:

·  Understanding of ITIL framework

·  Hold appropriate security clearance, minimum of baseline is required. If no clearance held, must be eligible to apply for an Australian Government Security Clearance
