A high-profile celebrity gardener is looking for an Intern Content Writer & Editor to work as part of their web team.

This role will be focused on curating, updating and creating new website content. The successful candidate may also work on ad hoc projects as requested.

Key deliverables:

Curating and updating existing website content
Proof reading and or sub-editing content sourced elsewhere
Researching, writing and editing specialist gardening content
Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

Closing date 19th July 2017.

Please note, this position is based in a rural area (Kineton, Warickshire) and you must have your own transport.

Essential skills, abilities and experience

Skills

Have excellent written skills – samples of work may be requested
Have excellent admin skills
Experience user of software including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Photoshop, InDesign and Wordpress

Abilities

Able to create fun, interesting, user-friendly, web copy and blog articles
Able to learn new systems quickly and easily
Able to work well as an individual and as part of a team
Have excellent interpersonal skills
Organised and detail-oriented
Prepared to review and update existing content
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and in fast changing environment

Experience

It is desirable but not essential for the successful candidate to have experience of writing blogs.
It is desirable but not essential for the successful candidate is able to implement SEO on web pages and optimising content according to SEO
It is desirable but not essential for the successful candidate to be able to use content management systems to analyse website traffic and user engagement metrics
