About Us:

For over 27 years Dinner Dates has been the most well regarded and established singles social club in the UK. Based primarily in London we have members from across the country and around the world. We pride ourselves on being able to provide a one-to-one experience with all our members and do not operate like a typical online site. Our business model is based on people having the opportunity to discuss events directly with a member of the team so we can maintain a personal relationship. We like to think of our members as friends not members.

We are looking for a hardworking and relaxed member of staff to help manage and organise our database. This job is perfect for any graduate interested in database management but it is also a fantastic opportunity for those that have had work experience in this, or similar fields.

THE ROLE:

Data Entry
Data Validation
Data Suppression
Organisation and Management of the Database
Supporting the team with Database queries
You may also be required to call or contact members to validate their details

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience into the events industry, dealing directly with customers and learning about event processes as well as giving you the chance to apply your knowledge of database and management to a real life scenario.
There will also be the chance to attend some of our events for free as each event needs a member of staff present, though this is optional; this may include dinners at high end hotel/ restaurants, drinks parties or day events.

REQUIREMENTS:

Confident use of MS Excel
Acute attention to detail
Ability to manage data across many databases/spread sheets
Administration experience (full-time/part-time work experience or internship or relevant qualification)
Professional phone manner
Good written and aural english
Confidence to work unsupervised
Knowledge of CAP codes and data suppression is desirable

KEY INFO:

We are looking for a candidate who is able to start work immediately. We have a set list of tasks that needs to be completed as well as a member of staff who will be able to take you through everything that needs to be done.

We are currently offering a competitive daily rate which is compliant with the current national living wage rate.

Furthermore the position will be on a weekly rolling contract, at the end of which time we will be happy to provide a reference to any future employer/ school. Please know that you WILL be given ample notice if your services are no longer required as a courtesy.

Desired profile

As mentioned it is essential that you have A-levels and/or relevant work experience in order to be considered for this role.

You DO NOT NEED to have a degree to do this role, we will consider any and all relevant work experience. However because of the role a level of professionalism, competency and attention to detail is necessary, for this reason please do not apply unless you have A-Levels or at least 1 years work experience.
