Context and scope:
Counterfeit is a global issue, damaging our brand equity and reputation, our consumer experience (and potentially their health), as well as denying Diageo sales and the government tax revenue.

As we invest in emerging / high growth markets our exposure to the issue increases, and new local brands as well as our Global Priority Brands are at risk from being counterfeited.

Diageo's in-market Brand Protection efforts are managed at market level. However, those in the markets need the support and guidance of a central Global Team to provide strategic direction, support tools (such as a central database), capability training and performance monitoring.

As part of this Global Team, the role of the Global Brand Protection Team Coordinator will be to become an expert in the systems used by the team worldwide (and providing training where required), as well as ensuring the markets have the appropriate levels of governance in place. They will also provide light administrative support as required to the central Global Team, based at 7HQ.

Purpose of role:
Support the activities of the Market Brand Protection teams globally, via governance management, systems support and training.
Support the activities of the central Global Team on financial and administrative matters, to ensure the effective operation of the department and budget oversight and transparency
Dimensions of role:

·  Global Team: finance & administration Support Head of Global Brand Protection by tracking spend and providing regular updates on budget status
Setting up new vendors and creating POs, approving payments and taking the lead in resolving any payment issues
Manages relationship with our largest service provider's accounting firm
Provide light administrative support to Global Team based in 7HQ, such as room & travel bookings, processing expense claims etc.

·  Systems Position is based at 7HQ in London but tasked with providing support and training on systems to the Brand Protection teams across the Diageo Markets. This includes managing the department's database, Yammer feed and Mosaic sites, as well as any other Brand Protection IS tools as required.

·  Governance Set up and monitor the Governance Programme for Global Brand Protection, including:

·  Creation and ownership of Brand Protection's document storage account in LiveLink
·  Ensuring each BP Market completes the appropriate annual documentation and submits to the Global Team
·  Checking all documents for accuracy and keeping accurate, timely records
Qualifications and experience required:

·  Well-honed PC skills/ Systems knowledge
·  MS applications, especially strong in Excel and PowerPoint
·  Ability to work independently, prioritise, meet deadlines and track budgets
·  Project management skills and ability to manage several concurrent projects; well-organised with excellent attention to detail
·  Good interpersonal and communication skills
