Salary: £21,060

These are exciting times at DHL and we are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a  Warehouse Team Leader.  You will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating, supervising and reporting upon the work activities of a team; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development. 

Key Responsibilities in this role will include; 
Team Management
Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
Deliver team member performance reviews, development and/or succession planning as appropriate
Facilitate effective communication and relationships both inter shift and other departmental functions
Assist the FLM's in managing all disciplinary and grievance issues (complaints) in line with HR policy
Ensure effective control of MHE usage to ensure minimal damage providing evidence of spot checks
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced
Work in collaboration with other DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice
Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels using coaching and mentoring skills ensuring individuals are aware of their responsibilities and fulfil them

Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Essential
High school/secondary education
Excellent organisational skills
Minimum of 1 year experience of team management
Good analytical and numerical skills
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
Computer literate
Desirable
Knowledge of working time legislation
