DHL Global Forwarding (“DGF”) is one of the business units of DHL and manages the flow of goods and information across a customer’s global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers.

We are looking for a Bid Specialist will serve as the lead for the preparation of proposals, including content development, accurate, complete and effective pricing proposals. The candidate will also be responsible for clearly and persuasively articulating solutions, working collaboratively with other team members, partners and subject matter experts.  The successful candidate will be highly motivated, as well as detailed and process-oriented with a customer service attitude.

Location: Florida

Key Accountabilities:

·  Manage and assist our sales force with preparing, finalizing and delivering a timely and winning proposal.
·  Identifies and organizes Customer Requirements, providing relevant information to DHL stakeholders.
·  Work in collaboration with our product teams to ensure our best pricing is presented in each proposal.
·  Follow USBT process for all Bids and Utilize the US Bid Team standard templates.
·  Comply with all deadlines set by the USBT manager and the customer.
·  Manage multiple bid projects assigned by the USBT manager simultaneously.
·  Keep constant communication throughout the RFQ process with Commercial Owners, Regional product teams and internal stakeholders.
·  Develop and maintain USBT data resources to support bid responses and commercial requirements (bid log, master files, library, databases.)
·  Takes initiative to improve current processes and tools for the benefit of the department.
·  Contributes to an open, respectful, collaborative work environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

·  Required more than 3 years of experience in Freight forwarding/ logistics in Airfreight or Ocean Freight
·  Project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
·  Effective time management skills.
·  Leadership skills to organize virtual teams to collaborate and deliver projects on time.
·  Good communication skills both oral and written
·  Self-directed, have the ability to prioritize workloads within set timelines. A structured, methodical approach to working.
·  Required a BS/BA degree. Master Degree is a plus
·  Required previous experience in RFQ management, Bid management, Product Pricing or quotations.
·  Intermediate to expert skill level in Ms Excel and all other MS Office applications.
