POSITION: BI Reporting Analyst

REPORTS TO: Business Intelligence and Sales Support Supervisor

LOCATED AT: Mississauga, Ontario

OVERALL PURPOSE :

This position will assume responsibility for interpreting data from various sources and creating tools for monitoring the sales activity through specific and evolving KPI's, ensuring sales strategies and targets are achieved throughout the sales channels and territories; guaranteeing full visibility on sales dynamics and ensuring the coordination between Sales, Marketing and any other relevant Department to maintain strategic/tactical alignment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Collect, analyze data and inputs from multiple external and internal sources making it functional to identify, understand and act upon our business dynamics/trends

• Interpret and summarize data trends using a variety of tools

• Design tools through the creation of graphs, charts and reports for extracting and managing business development data for all relevant revenue and performance analysis to Commercial function

• Provide performance improvement reports to managers and staff -Perform data analysis to validate technical and business requirements, and identify opportunities to develop forecasts, statistical models, and data-driven analyses to support business decisions

• Run a Continuous Improvement Program on tools, processes, sharing best practices, etc.

• Provide ad hoc request support

• Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics orequivalent is required

• Proven experience building and maintaining database structures, ETL processes, stored procedures, audit reports, data extracts.

• Preferable proven experience in SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, VBA, COGNOS, ASP, HTML

• Preferable experience in report writing

• Very strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

• Exceptional planning, organizational, time management skills

• Excellent interpersonal communication & probing skills, high aptitude for follow-up

• Knowledge of business technology applications and software

• Demonstrated drive, persistence, & initiative

• Demonstrated presentation skills

• Good collaboration and idea sharing in a team environment

• Customer focused

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

·  3+ years of proficient experience in report writing
·  Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL Server experience
·  Strong communication skills in English, knowledge of French would be a plus
