As a leader in the space, Amazon Web Services (AWS) offers several dozen products as web services and processes trillions of events every month. Over the past 10 years, Amazon has become known across the globe as the most trusted company on the internet. In this highly visible role, you work with product, engineering teams and product stakeholders to gather valuable insights to shape the future of the AWS billing systems.

You will improve the ease of understanding, flexibility, and customer value for our existing AWS Commerce Platform (AWS CP) pricing and billing products and develop new products. You will also analyze data to measure and enhance our products, and you will help develop new ideas based on your experience in billing/pricing and your contact with our stakeholders, customers and prospects. You are an owner with a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to details.

Major responsibilities:

Understand the billing data to identify trends and propose mechanisms to improve the customer experience.
Identify ways to standardize the data in the billing systems and propose mechanisms to audit and enforce controls.
Review the mechanisms by which customers are billed for each service and propose ways to standardize the mechanisms.
Work with internal stakeholders including product teams and sales to improve the customer experience.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an analytical field - e.g. Economics, Operations, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Economics.
· 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, or data analyst role
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
· Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
· Analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get things done and deliver results
· Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
· Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
· Superior verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organizations
· Experience working with SQL, and querying data.
· Ability to deal with high level of ambiguity
