This Intern will be part of the DELMIA Web Development team creating new applications, be involved in the daily operations and decisions of the team, and learn what and how it applies to the business.

He/she will design and deliver product enhancements and Quality Assessment tests on a daily basis.

This is a paid internship, full time 40 hours per week with a flexible start date in May 2017 and flexible end date of August 25, 2017.

• Interface with Dassault Systèmes R&D teams to discuss products and processes
• Design and deliver product enhancements and Quality Assessment tests
• Ensure projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented
* Implementation of the product satisfies the product specifications
* Product architecture and implementation is maintainable and extendible to accommodate future development and maintenance (architecture documentation and architecture design review)
* Ensures that:
> Documentation gets appropriate level of technical review support
> QA test plans meet the project requirements
> Appropriate development and corporate methods and procedures are followed
• Ensure projects are completed on time and according to corporate quality standards
• Facilitate communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information (architecture, design and implementation objectives)
• Serve as focal point for other departments on project/product status or other project/product information

RequirementsExigences

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program pursuing an Engineering or Computer Science degree
• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor program for the duration of the internship; cannot graduate or have graduated
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
• Work onsite at a Dassault Systèmes location; no remote or offsite permitted
• Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure
• Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments
• Highly organized with critical attention to details
• Ability and willingness to self-teach new and advance software functions; coaching and instruction will be provided, but we want someone who goes after knowledge
• Hands on experience with:
> Java, Object Oriented Design, Eclipse
> C# and Visual Studio
> Test Driven Development
> HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
• Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Access or SQL
• Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English
Plusses, not required
• Ability to work 20+ hours (minimum) per week during the fall semester
• Knowledge of Single Page Web applications and jQuery a
• Fluent in French
• Advance knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint functions
