POSITION SUMMARY
Working within the North America - Event Marketing Team, this internship will provide exposure to and the opportunity to participate in projects across the marketing / event spectrum including event campaign planning and execution, lead/opportunity management through Siebel and website content management.

This is a paid part-time internship with 20 hours per week is the required minumum working hours through May 2017. The Intern will not exceed 999 hours worked in a one year period from start date.

The internship is based at Dassault Systèmes North American Headquarters at 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, Massachusetts. There is a free shuttle bus service during the morning and evening commutes between the MBTA’s Red Line Alewife T stop and our office.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and manage project plans and timelines to coordinate event execution with industry , brand and channel marketing, sales subject matter experts and internal/external vendors
• Manage budget, process and track invoices, monitor estimated vs. actual spend, and negotiate favorable terms with vendors and show organizers.
• Contribute to the measurement of marketing performance by providing accurate metrics and event reports, inclusive of qualitative and quantitative results
• Plan, negotiate and execute all logistics including venue, catering, accommodations, transfers, printing, exhibit, staging, AV, social activities, speakers’ logistics, etc.
• Work with and manage internal and external resources as needed to ensure the success of the event and event deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, or MBA program with a concentration in Marketing, Corporate Events, Public Relation-PR, Corporate Communications, Communications, English, or educational equivalent
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.2 or higher
• Must remain enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, or MBA program for the duration of the internship; cannot not graduate or have graduated
• Work onsite at a Dassault Systèmes location; no remote or offsite permitted
• Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English
• Highly organized with critical attention to details
• Intermediate to advance Excel skills e.g. formulas, pivot tables, and column analysis, with the willingness and ability to learn new and advance Excel functions; you must be able to use on-line tutorials and self-educate
• Develop and understand our organizational goals and take initiative that aligns with these goals
• Possess positive energy with interpersonal skills; a creative focus that aligns with organizational goals; strategic thinking; a “will learn” and “can do” approach to daily work and new tasks
• Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure who is able to work independently managing their own work effectively, and set and meet deadlines by focusing and prioritizing tasks incorporating flexibility in our changing environment
• Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments; you want to work in event management / public relations / marketing communications after graduating
• Ability and willingness to self-teach new and advance software functions; coaching and instruction will be provided, but we want someone who goes after knowledge
• Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Access or SQL
Plusses, not required
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.3 or higher
• At least one additional language other than English, such as (but not limited to), French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc
• Advance knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint functions, and SQL
