Mission:
The staff accountant position supports the business ensuring a timely and accurate accounting close. The position also is required to provide general support of the Finance Department and others. The employee would need to be able to perform the transactions and processes for the month end close including but not limited to: preparing various reporting schedules with respective analysis, balance sheet account reconciliations and recording journal entries. Also this person would need to provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.

The current context of this role:
Due to the acquisition of the White Wave companies, there is a focus on integrating various entities into the Danone financial reporting process. This role will play a large part in the standardization of accounting processes and procedures for various DanoneWave entities, in conjunction with other business units across North America and Danone accounting policies.

Responsibilities:

• Developing the month-end close process for various DanoneWave entities
• Work cross-functionally with various departments within DanoneWave entities as well as finance business services
• Support continuous improvement in internal control, including but not limited to documentation of procedures and policies, transaction approval processes, bank statement and cash controls, etc.

Professional Experiences and Functional Competencies needed:
• Education 4 Years Sup Studies - BBA in Accounting
• Work Experience 0-3 Years
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of SAP is strongly preferred
Managerial Competencies and Personal Skills needed
• Strong ability to self-manage
• Ability for self-education or self-directed learning
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
