Danone North America is looking for a Sanitation Supervisor--Eugene in our Eugene, Oregon manufacturing facility.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for contributing to the production of optimum quality products through the continuous improvement and administration of facility cleaning and sanitation programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Provide administrative oversight of all cleaning and sanitation programs, both environmental and CIP.
·  Write, review, and revise SSOP’s as needed.
·  Update and maintain Master Sanitation Schedules.
·  Coordinate the inventory management of chemicals utilized for cleaning and sanitation programs.
·  Identify and coordinate training for safe chemical storage and use, principles of cleaning and sanitizing, etc.
·  Maintain documentation for cleaning and sanitation related training programs, MSS, corrective actions, cleaning validations, etc.
·  Routine assessment (i.e., auditing, KPI reporting, etc.) of cleaning and sanitation program effectiveness for the purposes of continuous improvement.
·  Drive continuous improvement of cleaning and sanitation programs through the use of (KPI) data associated with sanitation verification activities (i.e., ATP swabs, protein swabs, rinse water) and environmental monitoring activities.
·  Oversee pest control program and waste management. Act as primary contact for third party pest control, management and protective clothing and cleaning supplies provider.
·  Function as the primary contact for third party cleaning and sanitation providers.
·  Proactively prepare for new regulations affecting facility sanitation under FSMA.
·  Support (as the cleaning and sanitation SME) hygienic design and engineering projects within the facility.
·  Support compliance to all Company GMP, SOP, Safety Practices and Policies affecting cleaning and sanitation programs

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

·  Bachelor’s Degree preferred
·  Prior relevant experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·  Must be able to read, write, interpret, and effectively train others on documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
·  Flexibility to work weekends, shifts, and overtime
·  Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Process (GMP's)
·  Basic computer skills
·  Ability to comprehend, follow, and effectively convey instructions
·  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
·  Ability to demonstrate superb decision-making ability to determine best course of action
·  Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets
·  Must follow all safety procedures and guidelines
·  Must be self-motivated to conduct the work
·  Other duties as required by Supervisor
