Job description

Danone North America is the largest Benefit Corporatioin in the world. Our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible. Danone North America is looking for a Production Operator - MN in our Minster, Ohio manufacturing facility.

Seeking experienced manufacturing professionals for one of our Production Operator roles.

General Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of a production operator are to effectively perform manual tasks (e.g., physically load raw materials into production equipment), operate computer systems necessary for ordering & consumption of raw materials, and operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., electrical pallet jacks, hoists, forklifts, etc.).
Other responsibilities require the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., standing and walking for long hours, and the availability to work 12-hour
shifts.

Specific Responsibilities:

Operate production fluid control systems
Verify target weights meet target through the application of statistical process control
Perform quality checks and accuracy of materials/products
Consistently communicate with all departments involved in production process (e.g., warehouse, distribution, processing, fruit room, scheduling).
Troubleshoot and respond to process breakdowns
Document inventory of consumed raw materials and supplies
Obtain sample product for quality lab testing
Cleaning and sanitation tasks (e.g., general housekeeping, disposal of waste material, scraps, etc.)

The ideal candidate will have:

Proficient in MS Office Applications
Mechanical aptitude
Dairy Processing experience (preferred)
Excellent Communication skills, Verbal and Written
Team Player
Advanced education (Bachelors, Associates or Technical) a plus
Experience with Continuous Improvement (TPM a plus)
Willingness to work a 12 hour on a nights and weekend schedule
