Internship - Events & Communications (Research & Innovation, Advanced Medical Nutrition)

About the Job

You will be co-organizing our scientific symposia for international, external stakeholders and you'll be involved in all stages to make these events successful. There will be additional responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

·  Planning of events, including preparations and assisting on actual event(s)
·  Liaise with internal speakers and international Country Business Units on logistics
·  Coordinate logistics with internal stakeholders and service providers
·  Working with team on digital campaign(s) and/or tools
·  Assist in financial and budgetary aspects
·  General administrative support, e.g. scheduling meetings
·  Assisting team with document management system (Alfresco) for the Publications database

About You

We are looking for a student , preferably in communications, with a strong interest in event management and digital communications . You should:

·  Like to interact with many stakeholders , internally and externally;
·  Be well-organized , service/customer-oriented , flexible , pragmatic;
·  Have an eye for detail and possessing a good awareness of cultural differences ;
·  Be a digital native – Photoshop skills and experience in Word Press and with social media are a plus

Next to this, you are fluent in English and available for at least 4 days per week/8 hours per day. There is no possibility to write your thesis during this internship, as it's a working internship.

There are also some compulsory requirements :

·  You are an enrolled Bachelor/Master student during the whole duration of the internship ( non-EU citizens are only eligible to apply if they are enrolled in a Dutch university );
·  You can start in January 2019 for at least 5 months, 4-5 days per week;
·  You are able to work in Utrecht, the Netherlands ;

Within Research & Innovation, the Advanced Medical Nutrition Communications team plays a central role in the communication of our scientific research outcomes. Globally, we convey the quality of our science and innovation potential to external stakeholders, which include key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, scientists, policy-makers, health insurance companies and journalists.

Within the R&I AMN Communications team the focus lies in organizing scientific events on a regular basis, this internship is for a student with a specific interest, and some experience, in events and digital communications. You will work under the supervision of Annegees van Linge (Communications Manager Research & Innovation) at our office in Utrecht, NL .
