Danone North America business services team is looking for an Internal Control Associate in the United States (US) for the White Plains, NY corporate headquarters.

As an Internal Control Associate, you will be accountable for:

Mission: You will be part of the North America internal control team who support 7 Danone companies with the responsibility to ensure a strong internal control, focusing on operational processes , with the objective to ensure:

 

-Financial statements accuracy

-Laws & regulations compliance

-Business /process efficiency

More specifically:

Support the internal control team to:

-Animate the local BPO (Business Process Owner) network on a regular basis and maintain a relationship of trust with the internal partners.

-Ensure that a comprehensive set of formalized and up to date process documentation is maintained by the the BPOs (procedures, policies, flowcharts) to monitor the different activities.
-Evaluate and monitor the Internal Control system in place, following the Group Danone methodology (DANgo), and ensure that all the risks are well evaluated and covered by controls.
-Test and document key controls in terms of timing and quality and when deficiencies are identified, contribute to identify recommendations.
-Follow up regularly with BPOs and report the status of the action plans in progress to solve deficiencies and Audit recommendations.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and competencies:

 

-Accounting and/or finance coursework

-Ability to analyze and synthesize information

-Microsoft office program knowledge a must, strong in Excel

-Excellent communication skills

 

Domestic travel approximately 10%.  Possibility of travel to Canada.
