Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Hygiene Operator.This rolesupport's the operations team in terms of specialist cleaning responsibilities to meet the requirements defined within the corporate 5P principles, good manufacturing, good housekeeping practices and HACCP standards in all areas. We are looking for an active team player with a can do attitude. This role is a shift based position 4 days on / 4 days off across 7 days.In return you'll get a fantastic benefits package and a salary of £20,580 plus 33% shift allowance.

What wilI I be doing day to day?

·  Operating in accordance with health and safety regulations at all times
·  Removing all sources of waste from all areas
·  Ability to foresee any environmental issues
·  Managing planned scheduled deep cleaning, end of sequence cleaning and quarterly cleans
·  Operating and maintaining equipment including:
·  Cleaning of equipment parts in the equipment washer in the third floor high care area
·  Continual replenishment and ordering of all consumables
·  Maintaining pest control
·  Managing and delivering micro-biological swabs
·  Supporting Audits
·  Quality & Food Safety to Danone Standard
·  Ensuring that a safety first approach is followed during every task undertaken.
·  Raise safety tags for any safety concerns
·  A flexible approach to hours worked and jobs undertaken.
·  Communicate with own team and other departments at all levels.
·  Managing and maintaining waste management on site
·  Part of the spill response team to manage and be the first point of contact if any spills occur around the site

What does the ideal candidate look like?

·  Good knowledge of GMP and 5s
·  Experience in working in a high care environment and gowning procedures
·  Ideally familiar with CIP processes
·  Highly committed and a flexible approach
·  Good numeracy & literacy skills
·  Ability to coach, develop others and strong demonstrable team working skills
·  Strong communication skills
·  Basic Food Safety Certificate preferred
