About the job
The mission of this role is to strengthen the finance organization through enhanced systems capability and digital fluency. Acting as the team’s finance systems expert, the role will lead, train, and support colleagues to drive greater efficiency, accuracy, and productivity across all financial reporting activities. This includes enabling improved business partnering by simplifying processes, increasing data reliability, and fostering a more insight‑driven decision environment.
Operating in close collaboration with central Danone teams remotely and managing local stakeholders in Liverpool, the role will actively develop knowledge of the P&L, operational processes, and site performance drivers.
As a key enabler of Danone’s digital transformation, this position plays a pivotal part in unlocking the full potential of the tools, technologies, and data capabilities available, ensuring the finance team can operate at its highest level in a fast‑paced, evolving business context.
Key accountabilities, deliverables & KPIs, impact on business results
· Support the business during the planning cycle (Budget, Rolling Forecast, Period end Close and Strategic Analysis) in relation to Systems:
· Reporting through Local SAP (Danone specific version)
· Tagetik
· Lucanet
· Power BI
· Other Danone specific systems (Iproview, Magnitude etc)
· Pro-actively support the team with reporting deadlines using the systems above
· Identification of risks to these systems with ability to effectively communicate them to the Senior Business Controller and work on necessary action plans.
· Production of Monthly Management Reports
· Understanding of cost prices calculations of finished goods and the transfer prices.
· Networking (PLT (Board of Directors), Divisional Controlling, Central Business Services Finance, Sourcing
About you
Critical experience required:
· Degree preferred, Accounting & Finance, Accounting Information Systems or equivalent.
· Expert MS Excel skills and experience of using digital solution
· Excellent data management skills, with the ability to handle, manipulate and merge large, complex data sets, Power BI.
· Excellent communication skills
· Confidence to share ideas
· A collaborative, team working approach
· Problem solving skills
· A continuous improvement mind-set to question and improve current working practices
· Attention to detail and able to provide accurate analysis
