R&I Packaging Technologist

CONTEXT

In this context, we are looking for a Packaging Technologist to join the global foods R&I packaging team within our foods R&I office in Villefranche, France. Directly support our supply points with packaging trials and problem solving.

YOUR MISSION

As Packaging Technologist, you will be establishing and leading packaging innovation, renovation and productivity projects. You will foster collaborative internal and external partnerships to enable the global packaging team to identify, imagine, create, validate, and transition disruptive packaging solutions.

You will be driving innovation and therefore have a great mix of technical and strategic skills, and the ability to perform while dealing with ambiguity. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire senior management and teams.

You will be accountable for the packaging breakthrough innovation end-to-end process from insights gathering to opportunity identification, exploration, validation, and transition into the company. Next to that, you will:

·  Leverage design thinking principles to help quickly identify and validate solutions via rapid prototyping and qualitative testing.

·  Support new way of packaging innovation by recommending creative, innovative approaches to breakthrough barriers and challenge conventional thinking. Be a change engine.

·  Drive the exploration of key consumer and technical trends and elevate opportunities and challenges that are specific to Specialized Nutrition to inform ideation.

·  Explore, understand and assess startups, agencies, and major players in the emerging technologies that can expedite our packaging transformation

This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence the future of packaging within Specialized Nutrition, where there is an emphasis on consumer and customer-winning pack designs, creating high quality packaging, in conjunction to functionality; cost optimization & sustainability.

YOU IN FEW WORDS

We are looking for an experienced packaging innovator with:

·  Bachelor's or Master’s degree within packaging, industrial design, product design, innovation engineering or similar discipline

·  At least 3 years of experience in packaging development and medium-long term innovation

·  Experience within design thinking application and human centric design

·  Technical knowledge that is balanced with creative ability

·  Experience in working with early stage product development, and identifying and capitalizing on technology trends

·  Passion for packaging and innovation with proven ability to deliver this through a global organization

·  Determination to achieve an end result, and optimism and enthusiasm when things don't go to plan

·  Strong business acumen, looking beyond just packaging

·  Good problem solving, leadership and influencing skills, while being an outstanding Team player

·  Agile mindset and fast learner (learn and unlearn)

·  Strong verbal and written communication skills. You have the ability to create, plan and deliver presentations totechnical and nontechnical audiences.

·  French environment, Excellent communication skills, both in French and English
