Bevcan Europe & Middle East comprises 11 two-piece can plants in Europe (France, UK, Spain, Greece, Slovakia and Turkey, 5 manufacturing locations in ME and North-Africa (UAE, KSA, Jordan, Tunisia). There is also end-making capability in the UK, Poland, Spain, Greece and Dubai and regular sources of end-supply in the US and Saudi Arabia.
For our Central Customer Technical Services (CTS) and Quality team, we are looking to recruit a VIE as Customer Technical Services (CTS) and Quality Support Engineer
- based at Wantage (UK) for 24 months. The role reports directly to the Customer Technical Operations & Services Director.
You will be involved in various supporting projects related to CTS and Quality for the Operation such as:
- Secondary Packaging Standardisation/Specification oriented on material used (pallets/top frames/layer pads) as well as configurations (layer patters, position of the straps, etc).
- Customer map – platform compiling information about cans/ends qualifications, requirements from the quality libraries, information on warehouses, etc.
- Complete and maintain Can Customer Defects library, Cans/Ends qualifications matrix, CTS Skill matrix
- Review Gauge Management Process
- Customer Score Cards to improve and expand to other customers (in cooperation with Key Accounts), Standard Quality Dashboard development
- EHS related activities
- Maintenance of CTS SharePoint Workspace and development of the new SharePoint for Quality department
You have a mechanical engineering background
- a previous experience of metal packaging/ manufacturing processes would be an advantage. You have a strong attention to details, good communication, interpersonal, organisational and project management skills and you have a flexible approach to changes in team priorities. You are proficient in MS Office; a working knowledge of Engineering Design, web applications and SharePoint would be an advantage. You speak fluent English. Frequent travelling is required
