Overview:
This position has been created to support the system test activities for primarily for the Honda Motor Company located in Marysville, OH. The responsibilities of this position are to validate system requirements and wireless performance of standard body electronic module functionality, passive entry, remote keyless entry, immobilization, and tire pressure monitoring systems for their vehicles. The candidate will be working with a regional and global development team to implement core Continental technologies in the wireless product portfolio into Honda’s platforms. Once requirements are validated and systems performances verified, systems knowledge will be utilized to trouble shoot related issues as they arise in development and launch of Continental products in the Honda vehicle platforms.

Core Responsibilities:
• Onsite Customer Technical Interface for system performance and functionality.
• Manage vehicle configuration documentation to support proper release of modules to the costumer manufacturing locations.
• Create, manage, and support Vehicle Functional Test Plan development.
• Execute Functional and Wireless Vehicle Testing.
• Strong vehicle testing background and skill set to perform regression tests as well as system integration tests.
• Strong communication skills to create a positive working relationship with a culturally diverse development team.
• Strong documentation skills to communicate effectively with the development team.
• Development of test methods to increase test coverage on vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle distributed networks.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic protocols.
• Experience using vehicle network tools such as Vector CANalyzer and CANoe.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, multi­meters, etc.
• Basic understanding of wireless functions.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Validating functions of standard body electronic functionality as well as wireless systems within the limits of the wireless performance and capabilities
• Wireless testing activities: RKE Range testing, Tire Pressure Monitoring, Interior/Exterior mapping for passive entry and starting system
• Testing of hardware inputs and outputs as well as Vehicle Network data exchange
• Analyze data from Continental or Honda engineering to aid in the trouble shooting or reproducing field issues

Desired profile

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years Body Controller and Wireless or Access engineering experience.
• Flexibility in travel schedule for supporting an OEM with global development and manufacturing locations with occasional overseas trips for training and global development activities.
• Experience in managing test resources to complete bench and vehicle test activities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of the Honda Motor Company development process.
• Experience working with multi­national OEMs.
• Experience in setting up and executing vehicle test activities independently.
