Overview:
As Test Engineer for Simulation and Automation in Functions Development and Vehicle Integration you will be responsible for the definition of the (HIL­) Simulation Roadmap & Strategy on vehicle level for the product test development and application of state­of­the­art Electronic Brake & safety Systems. As a team member within a global engineering environment, you will take care for the set­up and maintenance of the project specific Simulation environment and you will support function, safety and application related testing on vehicle level (HIL & Vehicle) within the department’s definition.

Core Responsibilities:
­- Test and develop Electronic Brake Systems and its components to requirements.
­- Define & Support the departments (HIL) Simulation Roadmap & Strategy.
­- Define & Support the departments Automation Roadmap & Strategy.
­- Define & Support the departments Strategy, Process & Methods for releases on wet HIL only w/o physical vehicle.
­- Coordinate definition, build, maintenance of HIL simulators (IPG & DSpace).
­- Create and execute test specifications by Simulation (HIL).
­- Support the Test Development Strategy for Application Projects.
­- Support Application Development Teams for series projects.
­- Ensure input & output is within prescribed interface guidelines / specifications.
­- Plan and execute function and application tests (Vehicle & HIL).
­- Plan, execute and document all test & release relevant vehicle test activities.
­- Interface with customer (OEM).
­- Interface with departmental personnel in resolution of development issues from above.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
­- Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline.
­- Systematic problem solving skills.
­- Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink.
­- Knowledge in Simulation HW & SW (HIL/SIL, CarSim/Carmaker).
­- Excellent communication skills.
­- Team player with strong focus on quality and customer orientation.
­- Self­-dependent with a high degree of passion, dedication and commitment.
­- Ability to travel year round (may require travel 3 to 5 months per year).
­- Valid Drivers License.

Preferred Qualifications:
­- MS Degree in Engineering discipline with focus on automotive engineering
­- Basic knowledge in data acquisition & BUS systems
­- Basic knowledge in vehicle mechanics, electrics and electronics
­- Experience within development of vehicle dynamics, chassis or brakes
­- Advanced vehicle driving and judgment skills (vehicle dynamics area)
­- Experience in FSAE, motorsport or similar activities
­- 2 or more years of experience working in the automotive industry
