Poste et missions:
Conduct critical experiments and generate data with proper scientific considerations for process and quality control to understand cause and effect
Conduct material characterization using non-destructive testing
Develop image analysis methods to solve challenging industrial problems related to materials characterization, defect control and feature analysis.
Communicate and present key results in reviews
Write technical reports to summarize key learnings and file relevant IP if applies
Participate in group activities, i.e., lab safety, 5S, SMAT and center-wide activities
Profil:
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Solid academic background and training in non-destructive techniques (e.g. ultrasound, vibration, acoustics, etc.); knowledge of materials and basic manufacturing process
Hands-on experience with non-destructive testing: setup design, sensors, post-processing.
Familiar with acoustic modeling.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
MS degree with 1-2 year experience, or PhD student in training
Background in non-destructive evaluation, materials, engineering mechanics or related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary to communicate with all levels of management, customers, colleagues, and external partners.
