The Northboro R&D Center (NRDC) houses Saint-Gobain’s High-Performance Materials Group and the CertainTeed brand of building materials. This campus, located about 40 miles outside of Boston, has been a major center for materials research since 1985 with an outstanding record of achievement. The R&D Center is committed to growth through the development of proprietary products based on novel materials and process technologies. Comprising a variety of laboratories, prototyping facilities, open office space, cafeteria, fitness room, basketball court and walking trails, the NRDC campus flourishes with approximately 350 employees from over 30 different countries with a variety of scientific, technical and design disciplines.
Poste et missions:
The selected candidate will be joining the Glass Refractories R&D group based in NRDC (MA, USA) to support the continued technical leadership of SEFPRO (http://www.sefpro.com) in refractories for the glass industry. Candidate would be responsible for organizing and carrying out experiments in the laboratory or at the manufacturing site to support his/her project. Candidate will support his/her experimental work with predictive modeling using the modeling tools available at the R&D center. Candidate would also have to perform lab duties as any other member of the R&D team. 
Role:
Entry level position of professional research engineer.
Utilizes basic scientific or engineering principles and techniques to undertake specific tasks and projects with limited scope.
Manages and documents projects effectively with supervision.
Demonstrates open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility.
Seeks out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making.
Profil:
· Must possess a body of technical work commensurate with their years of experience including but not limited to: demonstration of familiarity with statistical tools, data analysis, modeling and drawing conclusions based on a collection of basic data and interpretation. 
· Demonstrated basic knowledge in HSE.
· Incumbent demonstrates ability to work with colleagues at various levels. 
· Respectful communication and ability to collaborate in a team environment required.
· Develop ability to network within and out of group. 
· Develop understanding of company policies and corporate structure.
