Saint-Gobain’s High-Performance Materials Group is a dynamic, global business with research and development activities centered in Northboro, Massachusetts (NRDC). The Northboro operation has been a major center for materials research since 1985. We have an outstanding record of achievement, and are committed to growth through the development of proprietary products based on novel materials and process technologies. The 186,000-square-foot R&D Center is based in three buildings on a 26-acre site near I-290 in Northboro and has approximately 350 employees from 30 different countries.
Poste et missions:
Support project activities focussed on new product and process development for bonded abrasives
- Perform and Conduct Design of experiments based on hypothesis.
- Characterize the new product
- Run, analyze and interpret grinding trials
- Develop structure-property-performance relationships
- Develop and demonstrate superior new product
- Communicate and present key results in reviews
- Support product benchmarking efforts and summarize product analysis in databases
- Write technical reports to summarize key learnings and file relevant IP if applies
- Participate in group activities, i.e., lab safety, 5S, SMAT and center-wide activities
Profil:
Knowledge of Ceramic Processing, glass science/technology
- Basic Characterization Knowledge and Experience (SEM, Particle Size etc.)
- Ability to work with and synergize with bonded and other multiple groups/departments
- Design of experiments and Data Analysis
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: MS in Materials Science and Ceramics preferable / Metallurgy Engineering acceptable
