Description du poste
The purchasing analyst will work as part of a team to manage the data collection, data analysis, and reporting activities for the CertainTeed Purchasing organization. This position will work with CertainTeed COE and Business Unit Purchasing to develop data collection strategies by spend category and compile business critical information into a usable, presentable format. Most importantly, the analyst will draw inferences from the analysis to aid the category managers and the business unit purchasing managers in development of a sourcing strategy. The purchasing analyst will work with the category team throughout the process to refine and re-analyze data based on bid responses and supplier negotiations.
The purchasing analyst will also develop, maintain, and distribute monthly reports based on external (supplier) and internal (purchasing category managers) data and highlighting agreed upon KPIs and market indicators for each category; support RFP activities; maintain database of contracts and track by expiration date and other key elements via ProcureNet etool; administer the activities and transactions of the CertainTeed purchasing function utilizing the ERP system and supporting the purchasing functions in the procurement of goods and services, and supplier selection. The role will also be responsible for identifying and documenting best practice standards to be used across the CertainTeed business units.
The purchasing analyst requires the ability to think and act independently to develop and deploy appropriate data collection tools to gather the appropriate information from the businesses to support the sourcing and management activities for a variety of different commodity and service categories

Manage data collection activities and model various sourcing strategies based on the data collection; present and communicate analysis to category team; support RFP activities by working closely with the category manager and team.

Develop and maintain monthly KPI reports for procurement categories and business units as appropriate; collect and manage data from external (suppliers) resources as well as internal (purchasing managers and business ERP systems) resources. Maintain market information / indices for raw materials as required.

Track and maintain all procurement contracts and update global tracking tool.

Identify and implement best practices across the CertainTeed Business Units and the COE with regard to sourcing, documentation, KPI’s, etc.
Profil recherché
The analyst will need to manage deadlines and timelines to keep projects on track.
Master in business administration or related field (programming or analytics).
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Experience in purchasing or related field; heavy concentration in analysis work.
Strong experience with enterprise systems, such as SAP
High proficiencies in excel, data base programming and management; internet/intranet portal set-up/management
Good interpersonal skills; excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to work well within a team environment.
Driving licence required
