Poste et missions:
The candidate will support the Central Purchasing Team of the Gypsum & Insulation Activities of the Saint-Gobain Group, with the implementation and optimization of the CAPEX purchasing strategy & actions and help to improve the CAPEX purchasing process as well as to contribute to the diversification and optimization of the supplier portfolio and realization of targeted cost savings.
Perform a “pilot purchaser” role for the Gypsum & Insulation Activities of the Saint-Gobain Group, with world-wide responsibility for certain equipment and spare parts.
Strong cooperation with the technical expert who´s part of the pilot team.
Purchasing support to major greenfield/brownfield PEX projects.
Identify & implement new sources of supply & savings potential for these piloted categories.
o A considerable part of the time is spend on Low Cost Country sourcing and supplier development.
Further development & use of Purchasing E-tools;
o E-RFI (request for information), E-RFQ’s (request for quotations) and of SRM (supplier evaluation), in the Saint-Gobain E-tool: “ProSource”.
o Complete/maintain CAPEX supplier data in Saint-Gobain’s CAPEX supplier database and contribute to improvements of the Saint-Gobain E-tool: “CapexNet”.
o Development, improvement, and use of other tools like negotiation sheets, TCO-analysis, etc..
Reporting:
o Purchaser Performance Measurement to report CAPEX savings
o Monthly Purchasing Dashboard
o Action Tracking List for major CAPEX projects
Profil:
Technical background: Mechanical engineering (MSc) or similar and/or Commercial background: Master 2 in Purchasing or in International business
A first experience in Purchasing is appreciated
Languages:
- English
- French (native language)
- Additional languages like German, Spanish, … would be a plus
Computer skills:
o Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)affinity with IT and databases
