Job description
This is an International activity engineering position responsible for design and implementation of new automation systems at gypsum or insulation manufacturing plants worldwide.
This person is responsible for designing PLC systems for Gypsum plants and Insulation plants.
Main Responsibilities:
- PLC software design and/or Scada system design for major projects.
- Commissioning of new equipment and processes, including I/O testing, instrumentation setup, PID tuning, software adjustments.
- Development of new automation solutions, test of new technologies.
- Training of operators and of local maintenance teams.
Job Complexity:
- Design work done within an international team. The GMT mechanical and process design team is based in the UK. The automation team is split between France and the UK.
- Working with people from different cultures worldwide.
- Frequent international travels.
- Technical knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, instrumentation.
- Technical knowledge of several programming languages: Ladder, SCL.
- Contact and train people in the plant teams: automation engineers, process engineers and operators.
Attitude / Competencies

- Technical skills:
- PLC programming skills. Ideally Siemens S7 and/or Rockwell ControlLogix.
- Scada system programming skills. Ideally Siemens WinCC?
