OBJECTIVE OF THE MISSION :

We offer a VIE position in the frame of our long-term ETCS (European Train Control System) on-board project, which purpose is to fit all the rolling-stock of Denmark with an Automatic Train Control solution.
The candidate will:
-be part of the Project Management team dedicated to the Alstom Denmark ETCS on-board Project
-provide support to the Project Manager to establish a robust project management, including planning, action log, documentation management, risk and opportunities analysis and realization
-be the leader on some specific improvement plan to generate customer satisfaction and/or better margin on the project (like for example digital tools for the team on site)
-assist and support for financial reporting where needed
-Propose and run some communication support on the project progress and successes
Her/his activity will be organized in close collaboration with:

-Project core team based in Denmark and Belgium, including: Deputy Project Manager, Project Planning Manager, Project Controller, Project Contract Manager, Project Quality and Safety Manager
-Engineering teams based in Denmark, like installation design teams, installation and commissioning teams

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Through this role, specific focus should be given on:

ESTABLISHING ROBUST PROJECT MANAGEMENT
•Keeping the Project Management Plan updated to reflect the project organization and way of working
•Preparing, participating and keeping log of actions of the weekly meeting and other regular key meetings with all core team
•Ensuring that all actions are duly executed, building KPIs, and report issues to the Project Manager;
•Helping the project team core team members to take the good decisions to ensure successful project execution by elaborating the decision criteria and weight and prioritizing the needs;
•Preparing with the Project Manager or Project Quality Manager all Project Reviews and Gate Reviews, including organization and reporting;
•Supporting the Project Manager in his interactions with the customer (like meeting, variation orders, claim and contractual/revenue issues);

LEADING SOME IMPROVEMENT PLAN
•Identifying opportunities with Work Package Owners that will result in improved QCD;
•Identifying and minimizing all risks by monitoring the mitigation action plan progress
•Develop/deploy digital solution for the installation Report
•Develop/deploy automated test tools to reduce the serial tests duration
•Identify complementary digital actions to reduce the costs

SUPPORT for FINANCIAL REPORTING
•Learn about the financial tool (ADEL)
•Helping the Work Package Owner in the WP financial management, making gap analysis, identifying the root cause of potential improvement or degradation
•Building bridge and indicators to explain the variation
•Ensure on time reporting

PROPOSE and LEAD some COMMUNICATION SUPPORT ON THE PROJECT

•Be a promoter of the project success and progress in the various media
•Could be for instance:
Create a “video” of the project
Gather photos of the project performance, ongoing activities

CANDIDATE'S PROFILE :

-Advanced University Degree in Engineering (general knowledge on IT or electrical or automation field)
-Technical Knowledge / Experience:
-Fluent in spoken and written English
-Interest in Project Management, continuous improvement, problem solving
-Both Office and Field oriented, with technical interest in all aspects of railway like signalization / IT / Digital / rolling stock
-Hard-worker, motivated to learn, curious, creative
-Ability to communicate easily with all his/her correspondents
-Autonomous and organized
