JOB DESCRIPTION:

To participate and develop our success story in Bristol, we are currently looking for Piping Design Engineers who are motivated and ready to strengthen a multi-disciplinary team, providing consultancy services across a diverse range of technical skills.

As a Piping Design Engineer and a FORTIL consultant you are a major player in several fields from inception of concept through to full development of finished designs and solutions.

Your role is to guide the production of fit for purpose and cost-effective designs in accordance with British standards, to timescale and budget, ensuring minimum rework following checking. You also must provide guidance on material and hardware selection to suit the design criteria. At last, you must provide cost/timescale information and progress reporting. You will be responsible for the production of:
* Design Schemes
* Design Proposal Drawings
* Detail Manufacturing Drawings
* General Assemblies
* Mechanical Handling Drawings
* Mechanical Sequence Drawings
* Mechanical Flow Drawings
* Functional Specifications/ Functional Requirements Documents
* Technical Reports and Studies
* Design Justification Reports

KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Knowledge of piping design and calculation is an asset
Good ability to work with a 3D model and various tools
Knowledge of regulations

Use of PDMS is desirable

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

Ideally, degree qualified (HNC Minimum). Preferably Chartered for the Senior level role.
Shall have experience of producing mechanical design deliverables.
