Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious Lettings Manager to build the long lets side of City Relay.

We are looking for someone that wants to work in a different setting to a high street estate agent and can manage the constantly growing portfolio. We currently have over 60 long lets under management but we're constantly adding 30-40 properties a month for short lets that may eventually be converted to long lets as well.

The Lettings Manager that will join the team will launch and manage the department and expand the growing portfolio. The role will be working closely with our sister company Leufroy which is venturing in property development and investments. The ideal person should be experienced within a Senior Lettings Negotiator role working in a well known Real Estate agency and has the ambition to join a fast growing start-up and build this department from the bottom up.

Main responsibilities:
Increasing growth of lettings business
Establishing strong relationships with Landlords and new applicants
Negotiating the let of residential property for both short & long let
Advertising the properties and qualifying applicants
Arranging and attending viewings
Negotiating tenancy agreements
Managing and overseeing the allocated property portfolio
Ensure all rent is collected on time through Go Cardless & Directli in collaboration with Finance department
Handling Complaints and emergencies dealing with maintenance requests, noise complaints and have the necessary contacts to handle emergency situations
Handling the move-outs inspecting the property, checking for damages and determining what portion of the security deposit will be returned to the tenant
Updating and maintaining Property Management Software (Arthur)
Ensuring bills are paid from investor properties
Building a string department and growing the team

Desired profile

Person specifications:
2+ years’ experience in residential lettings, ideally working as Senior Lettings Negotiator
Preferably be ARLA Qualified (or interested in taking the exams)
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills
Enhanced negotiation abilities
Proficient in computer programs, including Property management software
Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Property Management (not essential)
