Description

As EA moves towards a player network strategy to make gameplay smarter, better, and more personalized, the infrastructure to support this transformation is increasingly challenging due to complexity and scale. The focus of this role is to deliver products to game teams that make their development smooth and their players happy. It will require both the ability to understand and address current customer pain points but to also come up with novel solutions to solve problems that will arise in the future. The EADP Developer Experience team makes it easy to create, manage, and monitor the entire suite of EADP services and infrastructure from any web-enabled device, anywhere in the world. Our product is the face of the EA Digital Platform, allowing game developers to visually interact with their apps, services, and infrastructure. What does a user experience designer do?

The designer is responsible for the design of information structures by translating audience needs and behaviors into delivering a positive user/developer experience. By evaluating usage patterns, conducting testing and coordinating with stakeholders and UX designers, the designer will leverage existing or new technologies to lead/support EADP and other teams within EA.

 Key Responsibilities

·  Establish and drive IA and documentation standards and style guides that meet the quality and content needs of specific audiences and job roles.
·  Partner with stakeholders in the EADP community to align design for technical documentation objectives with broader product development initiatives
·  Organize information logically to reduce duplication and promote single-source solutions.
·  As needed, create microcopy, UX copy, edit, maintain and publish information for tools and related services, workflows and technologies using multiple channels.
·  Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify, organize and document key topics, providing leadership for IA activity.
·  Partner and foster trusted relationships with key stakeholders on the EADP team, game teams and other central teams to identify and prioritize IA needs.
·  Generate metadata, navigation structures, workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, preparing interaction specifications, navigation rules, organization of information, site maps mockups and other related artifacts.
·  Implement information architecture by preparing paper and interactive prototypes and mockups including navigational elements in partnership with UX Designers and other stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience

·  Demonstrable experience as a designer, dealing with complex software platforms, services, tools, and technologies
·  Experience managing IA projects.
·  Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to document best practices, and recommended workflows.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·  Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
·  Ability to balance numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines.
·  Ability to quickly learn core product features and functions.
·  Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels including executives
·  Demonstrated ability to work on small, focused teams to complete critical milestones
·  Demonstrated ability to operate proactively with a high level of autonomy
·  Enthusiasm for sharing design
·  BS degree in HCI, Information Studies, Instructional Design, or equivalent.

Nice to have

·  Experience with XML-based and multi-media authoring tools such as Quark, oxYgen, RoboHelp, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.
·  Passionate about video games.
·  Experience in product or program management.
