Graduate Software Engineer #LI-EMEAAW1 #LI-PRIORITY
As a member of the dynamic and international team, you will play an integral part in the DevOps software engineering process working collaboratively on products and technology throughout the full product development lifecycle and focusing on ensuring the ongoing quality of the services delivered.
You would be working on a complex next-generation media service, ensuring the quality and reliability of the delivered services, from writing feature code to creating automated tests to developing monitoring systems to creating new tools to increase efficiency.
You will be expected to produce and deliver significant features on your own as well as work with colleagues in collaborative tasks. You will be called upon to deliver timing estimates for implementation and assess risks involved. As part of an Agile team, creating unit test and functional automation scripts as part of feature development will be expected.
You will also be required to interact considerably with the Cisco Cloud and Spark teams based in San Jose and San Francisco remotely, and on occasion through foreign travel.

Cloud Collaboration Technology Group (CCTG) are part of a specialist centre for Cisco Collaboration Engineering located at Cisco EMEAR headquarters in Bedfont Lakes, Feltham and in Uxbridge. Our group builds cutting-edge media technologies, deployed daily to numerous datacentres around the world. As a modern, dev-ops focused group, we are responsible for designing, building and running the services that provide the best-in-class audio and video experience that Cisco customers of products like WebEx and Spark enjoy and expect. We combine a deep well of experience with the latest technologies to be able to develop and deploy new code quickly and with confidence in its reliability, with new code enhancing our customers' experience just days after it was written.
Who You Are

• Familiarity with open source tools like GStreamer and OpenCV
• Exposure to network programming (for example; TCP/IP, streaming protocols, HTTP or RTP).
• Exposure to video and audio encoding, and processing techniques and technologies
• Exposure to cryptography
You have earned a good degree at a top university and have gained 1+ years of work experience in high-performance environments. Moreover, you have a proven track record of personal and academic achievements, and can demonstrate an ongoing interest in technology and development.
