CONTEXT
Reporting to the Managing Director Italy and serving as a member of the leadership team, with a functional matrix reporting line to the Director of Fragrance & Beauty Europe. This role holds a strategic function, bringing vision, ambition, and growth to the Fragrance & Beauty division in Italy. In the context of omnichannel transformation and accelerated innovation, it ensures the alignment of local strategy with those of the Fragrance & Beauty Division and the European Region, actively enriching them through the sharing of market insights and adjusting their implementation to market specificities. The role guarantees commercial performance and operational excellence across all purchasing channels: wholesale, retail as well as chanel.com. It also fosters strong divisional synergies with Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewelry activities to promote cohesive client experience and reinforce a global retail vision. Finally, it ensures that all actions taken contribute to reinforcing CHANEL’s Brand Equity, in line with sustainability objectives and long-term financial health.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Define the strategic vision and ambitions for the Fragrance & Beauty division in Italy, in accordance with the global and regional strategy.
· Develop and manage the Mid-Term Plan, budget, and annual sales plans for each distribution channel, identifying and exploiting opportunities for growth and innovation, and ensuring alignment with the Europe F&B strategy.
· Develop, monitor and analyze key performance indicators and adapt strategy in a constantly evolving environment to achieve defined objectives.
· Represent the Italian market in regional forums and actively contribute to the European Fragrance & Beauty community by sharing best practices, innovations, and learnings to enrich collective thinking
· Define and implement the distribution strategy across all channels: wholesale, boutiques concessions in department stores on- and offline.
· Manage the P&L in close cooperation with other departments to ensure profitable and qualitative growth.
· Strengthen partnerships with key market players, ensuring both physical and digital presence in line with CHANEL’s standards.
· Oversee selective distribution criteria defined at the regional level, co-manage with legal teams any network evolutions, and establish and execute anti-parallel market controls according to current policies.
· Develop, implement and coordinate the orchestration of efficient and innovative marketing and communication strategies, aligned with global and regional objectives, adapted to the Italian market.
· Ensure consistency, fluidity, and excellence of the client experience across all touchpoints.
REQUIREMENTS
· Proven leadership experience in commercial, retail, marketing, and/or omnichannel management, ideally in luxury, beauty, or FMCG, with strong managerial expertise and international exposure.
· Strategic vision, analytical rigor, and the ability to drive transformation in a complex and demanding environment.
· Inspiring and cooperative leadership, a taste for challenge, and the ability to unite multidisciplinary teams around a common ambition.
· Strong sensitivity to luxury, customer experience and operational excellence.
· Strong communication skills based on humility and self-awareness.
· Proficiency in written and spoken English, proficiency in Italian is preferred. French is a plus.
