We will also consider candidates based from our Bridgend, Reading, Birmingham and Bristol Offices.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a UX Developer, you will utilize a full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills to set standards across a varied portfolio for the developers and the UX/UI team in producing high quality, consistent design concepts and patterns for client products. We’re currently helping our clients transform their digital interfaces through improvements to legacy systems as well as green field development projects. This is a great opportunity to join our team and work on a variety of projects with a mix of clients. We need a UX designer who has a good understanding and experience of UX as well as ideally some knowledge of UI design. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The key for this role is having experience of the end to end design process from user research, through to design and you should have the technical knowledge and ability to produce prototypes for the client and deliver appropriate innovative solutions that work for all stakeholders. You’ll need to be able to interact with a wide range of stakeholders and you’ll be a natural at building rapport and getting to the heart of the client’s needs to present often complex design and functionality through clear, engaging presentations and style guides. You’ll be part of a team but will need to be able to stand up your technical solutions with all the stakeholders. You will be well experienced working in an Agile environment collaborating with Delivery managers, stakeholders, Business analysts, UI specialists and developers. You will be keen to explore ways in which we enhance the product and challenge our team in producing consistently high standard products in our industry. You believe design is about problem solving, not pure aesthetics, and you’re not afraid to challenge design trends where appropriate. Familiarity with GDS Design principles, patterns and toolkits is essential to your success in this role and you should have enough demonstrable commercial experience to be able to be credible to both our team and clients.

Other key skills we’ll be looking for include;

● Create high/low fidelity wireframes, user journeys, process flows and interactive prototypes.
● Comfortable working from the higher level to the granular detail.
● Use of Lean UX/Agile tools and techniques.
● Comfortable working in an iterative design delivery environment.
● Work with developers ensuring their code delivers the quality of your design.
● The ability to describe the thinking behind your design decisions.
● Able to educate and guide the client in implementing best design practise methods to their products.
● Capable of presenting and explaining your work to a group of stakeholders.
● Capable of running user requirement design workshops.
● Responsive design for all devices.
● Web browser compatibility design
● Keep up to date with latest design and technology trends.
● Prototype and design tools such as; Axure, Sketch, Balsamic, Adobe Creative Cloud etc.

Understanding and/or knowledge of the following would be an advantage but are not essential;
● User research and service design; able to conduct and participate in user research sessions and analysis.
● User design needs and requirements
● Delivering reports visualising data
● BI data software tools
● Responsive design frameworks; Bootstrap, Foundation etc.
● Full audit of current product
● Assumption mapping/Hypothesis statements
● Qualitative and Quantitative research
● HTML 4.2/5, CSS3, Jquery / Javascript, NodeJS and other lightweight javascript frameworks

We don’t expect you to tick every box of essential and desirable skills above as important is your personality and attitude to your work, for us team fit and the right attitude is just as critical.

The role will be based in London but there will also be (fully expensed away from base office) travel to client sites as required. Due to the nature of some of our clients you should already hold or be will and eligible to hold, UK Security Clearance to SC level. Build your career with us.
