Training Specialist II

Position Description
Proficient with all standard software used by CDC. Conducts the research necessary to develop and revise training courses and prepares appropriate training curricula. Maintains relationship with users to continually determine training and user support needs. Formulates statements of training problems based on needs assessment, and devises procedures for the solution of these problems using proven training techniques. Designs, develops, and implements the curriculum. Evaluates and selects appropriate training techniques and media. Develops training evaluation methods, and conducts training sessions. Proficient with CDC standard software, formulates statements of training based on needs assessment, and devises procedures for solutions using proven training techniques. Designs, develops, and implements the curriculum. Develops training evaluation methods, prepares student and instructor materials, and conducts training sessions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Conduct the research necessary to develop and/or revise training courses. Prepare instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids). Prepare student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms). Develops the curriculum for training workshops or distance-based training on use of software. Provide Microsoft 365, other training topics and services such as development of training material, group demonstrations, in person and virtualized domestic and regional trainings as required. Support training of end-user in the use of applications developed in-house or supported by customer.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
Skills Needed:
• Knowledge of Information Technology Field, best practices, organization, and operations
• EPLC (SDLC)
• Ability to learn new systems and become an expert
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent Customer Service skill and provide system support
• O365 Products and Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI)
