Test Engineer

Position Description:

CGI runs the development and testing of the cards authorization application and infrastructure
platform for one of our large global customer. This application is a mission critical application
that supports cards, loyalty processing and settlement and it provides a fault-tolerant 24x7
platform supporting card authorization and switching too. The service covers application
enhancement services to upgrade and change to meet new business requirements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Able to develop and execute test plans based on solution documents and project requirements.
- Able to perform manual testing to validate functionality, performance, and usability.
- Experience in implementation of automated test scripts to streamline regression and performance testing will be a plus.
- Expose on the Application configuration and documentation the guideline. 
- Configure systems and applications according to solution design documents.
- Must maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports.
- Able to collaborate with developers, Release Team, Solution architects and Business Analyst to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Able to work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Scripting & Automation 
    Write and maintain batch scripts to support test automation and system configuration.
    Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines will be a plus.
- AI & Advanced Testing
  Experience/Exposure to AI technologies, tools and techniques to enhance test coverage and efficiency will be a plus.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Experience with manual and/or automated testing methodologies.
- Exposure in batch scripting (command line)
- Exposure to AI technologies in testing (e.g., AI-based test case generation, anomaly detection).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Exposure in the SQL scripting
