Position Description
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer. You will enhance the cyber security posture of 26 civilian government agencies through improved visibility into user credential management. You will actively identify and mitigate a wide range of cyber risks and will also work closely with a wide variety of agencies, learning their mission, priorities, organization and unique challenges. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic project running 20+ concurrent implementations.

Serve as a Technical Writer for our CGI Service Delivery Team on a major cyber security program for DHS and other targeted agencies and organizations participating in the CDM Program. Providing direct technical writing and documentation support for solutions and integration of solutions for designated agencies. The successful candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual, with a strong detailed level of experience in technical writing and combined with an understanding for IT security who excels in providing written and documentation support to support integrating, operating and deploying security technology and solutions including interactions with clients. The successful candidate is a self-starter who works effectively in a highly dynamic environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Contributes to the planning, writing and editing of operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication.
- Assists with interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
- Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.
- Documents engineering processes and specifications.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
- Bachelors degree +4 years of experience.
- Expertise creating stakeholder communications including reviewing and editing documents using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel fact sheets and quad chart development and management.
- Experienced with a detailed document development processes and specification.

Desired:
- Experience in on projects similar to the size, scope and complexity of the work and environment for IT security and service delivery to multiple government agencies.
- Understanding of federal cyber security guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137 - Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.
- Understanding of the DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program (CDM).
