Position Description

We are growing our digital team of agile service design specialists to build and deliver user centred services and solutions in partnership with our clients across Financial Services. We need Azure technical architects at all levels, with a keen eye for the latest trends and understanding of supporting technologies to help us expand our digital practice in Milton Keynes.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As the Technical Architect you will produce designs by consulting existing documentation such as use case, wireframe, domain model and high level architecture documents. Certain critical features may involve producing the design parallel with requirements gathering.

You will work closely with the business analysts, product owners and other technical leads to shape the designs and work through any issues identified. Ultimately involvement with the build and test teams will be required to ensure adherence by regular code reviews and accommodate any changes noticed during the build stage.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To be successful you will need to have experience in being a consultant on complex programmes of work. You will have experience of working in a multi culture environment and being an effective communicator, demonstrating strong ability to work effectively with client SMEs. You have worked in a software development background and ideally within Agile methodologies.

Additionally you will be able to demonstrate experience in production of documentation which adequately describes use case implementation; engineering patterns, services, application of object orientated analysis, design principles and SOA principles.

Also you will be working with and contributing to the domain model and object relational mapping integration and help with code review; enforce software engineering best practices and mentoring junior members when required.

In terms of specific technology you should have commercial experience in some or all of the following:

• Azure API Management with deep understanding of API Management configuration/usage/ use cases etc.

• Very strong in creating/ defining Swagger specs for REST APIs, understand REST principles, Guidelines

• Hands on experience using Advanced policies

• Should be very strong in REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML

• Should be very strong in REST and SOAP Security including OAUTH, SAML, token etc.

• Cloud services deployment

• Logic Apps, Service Fabric, Azure Service Bus is preferred

• Microsoft Azure Identity Management and Security technologies including custom SAML 2.0 providers

• Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools would be a distinct advantage

• DevOps Continuous Integration and Deployment via Jenkins would be a distinct advantage.
